Some books explain. Some books entertain. But then there are the books that just go straight to your heart.

WORLD BOOK DAY

Join me in celebrating International World Book Day and the power of books.

As a non-fiction author focusing on the self-help genre, I strongly believe that books can change lives. ✍🏾📖

Books are the friends who never ghost you, the therapists who don’t charge, and the best travel guides for life’s journey you’ll ever meet. 📖

Today, I’m celebrating the readers who come to books not just for answers but for hope—the ones who want more joy, calmness, and purpose in their lives, who are trying to heal and trying to grow.

The ones who underline half the book and whisper, “Okay… this is the part I needed.” (You know who you are) 📖📖📖

The ones who have a vision board, planners, journals and a to-be-read pile of books taller than their emotional baggage (you’re doing great, by the way).

I am celebrating the readers trying to remember who they were before the world told them that something was wrong with them. 🤨

April 23, World Book Day is for the late-night readers (like me) who you’ll often find searching for clarity at 2 a.m. in the early morning highlighter in one hand, tissues in the other. It’s for the ones who turn to books when the world feels heavy, and find just enough strength in a sentence to keep going. 📚📚📚

Self-help isn’t about being broken.

You don’t need to fix who you are.

Self-help is about remembering who you are and becoming who you’re meant to be. It’s about expanding your repertoire, being open to possibilities and a willingness to experiment and try new ideas. It’s about moving forward rather than cycling in old stories that can keep you immobilized and stuck. 🤨

Have a nice cup of tea, or enjoy a glass of wine while you open your next book, the kind that helps you see yourself more clearly, and love what you see. 📚

So, Happy World Book Day, to those of you who are on the journey towards transformation and change, rebuilding, recreating, and reinventing yourselves one book at a time. 📚

“Books can change us — and writing them changed me.” 📚✨
